Air India passengers, the Sunday night flight from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi was no less than an ordeal.
The flight had no cut short its journey and return because of dense fog over northen India and flight had to spend more than one hour circling over Biju Patnaik International Airport and awaiting clearance for landing.
The Flight waited for clearance to land, but in vain. The flight then kept circling over the city waiting for the ground staff to respond. From about 11.45 pm, it kept flying and made as many as six circles mid air, the security personnel were in a tizzy. At around 1am, the flight was allowed to land. After landing all the passenger of Air India checked into Swosti Premium Hotel, Bhubaneswar which is just 7 km from Biju Patnaik airport.
