Kalinga Lancers Launch Official Jerseys, Mascot

Kalinga Lancers, the Odisha-based franchisee in Hockey India League, launched its mascot and unveiled the team jerseysat a high-profile function held at Swosti Premium here on Monday. Roaring with confidence, the talented players sported their mascot, which is a young white tiger designed on bright orange jerseys.

The bagha, as the mascot has been named, will stand as a symbol of bravery, sharpness and strength. The mascot, young in age, will also inspire many young hockey players and fans in Odisha and all over India to fall in love with the game all over again. This apart, the mascot would act as the key visual of the team, providing the team, IDCO-MCL and other stakeholders with a strong and exciting brand asset through which promotional campaigns can be activated and target audiences engaged. Both IDCO and MCL, the joint owners of Kalinga Lancers, were excited about launching such a royal mascot for the team. The young tiger would not just boost the team spirit but motivate the players to fight bravely throughout the tournament. Since the famous Nandankanan Zoological Parkis home to white tigers, the mascot is expected to boost Odisha Tourism as well.

On the other hand, the orange coloured jerseys exude positive energy. When the orange hues of sunset come alive, it charges the surrounding with vibrant energy and this is what the players of Kalinga Lancers will display during the league.

This apart, orange colour is associated with adventure, risk taking, physical confidence and competition. Those inspired by this colour are always on the go and so would be the players of Kalinga Lancers. As the anthem of the team reverberated in the background, it was a sight to behold as the confident players of Kalinga Lancers walked the ramp in the company of models, striking poses for the camera and flaunting their bright orange official jerseys and mascot.
